News and Media to Me

News to me is the reporting of current events through the media i.e. a newspaper, a news telecast, magazines, and the radio. News can also be anytime someone acquires new information they did not know prior, it does not have to be through the media. News is printed and reported daily, and in some instances multiple times a day. This is because news needs to stay up to date, to not only keep the public informed, and interested but also a lot of the time more newsworthy events are happening than they can be reported. There are many different forms of news. Not only do certain stations report on everything from sports to the weather but some networks differ completely from each other in what they report. For example the news you watch on the Fox network is drastically different from the news being reported on the E! network. While they may report on different current events it cannot be denied that they all provide an outlet for the news and media to reach the public in an easy and timely fashion. News and media today are our connection to the world, they keep us involved and informed. Therefore it is important that people make an effort to pay attention to the news. It gives us the opportunity to know what is happening locally, nationally, and world wide.
