Good Radio and TV News Stories-What It Takes

There are many different radio and tv news stations out there, so this means that there is a lot of competition between different programs. To be good, radio and tv stations have to be interesting, and make the viewer or listener stay tuned. Interviews help to make good radio/tv news stories, because the audience can hear another person’s perspective on the story, rather than listening to only the journalist’s perspective. Different views on a story can also make it more believable. If a news story is on television, then imagery and certain footage that goes along with the story should be featured. This would promise a good and entertaining story, because it can be considered proof of what happened.
Radio/television stories are different than print in many ways. One difference is that they are brief and to the point, because the shows have a certain time frame that they have to cooperate with. Therefore, print stories tend to have more detail and can be much longer. People can also read print stories whenever they want to after the stories come out. Stories that are broadcasted can only be seen/heard when they are on the air, unless the person tapes a television broadcast, or the broadcasts are available online.
