Public Relationships

Public relations refers to the relationship between a company or organization and the general public (i.e., current/prospective customers and employees).

People and companies with good public relations have pitches that accommodate the audience while informing them of important information.

Good public relations representatives appeal to consumers by writing good news releases. These news releases must be written well and will meet a lot of the same criteria as a general news story.

Public relations writers will provide facts in a truthful and fair matter, but they will also generally try to persuade their audience to do something.

Although both news and public relations writers provide facts as truthfully as possible, good public relations writers will generally provide any and all information, good or bad, in the best possible way.
