A good Lead makes a good Story

Leads are vital when it comes to writing stories.

A lead introduces the reader to the topic that will be discussed in the story.

Normally, leads will tell the Who, What, Where, When, Why and How of the story.

Leads are usually one sentence, that is packed with information about the story that will be told.

Every word in a lead is usually very important, and are worked and rewritten over and over until they convey the correct message, including all of the information necessary.

Leads should be used to gain attention from readers, as well as provide them with the information they need in order to understand the story being told.
