The Job of The Journalist

Today some of the most relied on people are journalist. Where ever there is news there is a journalist right there, collecting information about current events, people, trends, and issues.

The job of the journalist has evolved over the years. From the penny press, and yellow journalism, journalist can now be anyone who has internet access.

There is a high expectation for journalist in today's society. The masses expect to get quick and accurate information on whatever and whenever they need.

Because of the high demand a journalist must always be making deadlines that must be made. The Job of the journalist isn't a typical 9-5 workday. News happens all the time, it is not on a schedule and neither can a journalist.

Journalist unlike columnists must be unbiased in the way they report the news. The expectation held for journalists is that they must always be honest.
