What do journalists do?

Journalists are reporters; they research stories and write about them. But a lot more goes into being a journalist then you might think. First, journalists have to research their stories before they start writing. Journalists can write either news or feature stories. News stories are short and focus on telling you what's just happened. Feature stories often need a reason for publication. Journalists can often take photographs for their stories, some just use pictures to tell a story with very few words. When writing their stories, journalists have to make sure to edit them before they are published. This prevents any errors in grammar or anything of that sort. Lastly, journalists have to check their facts. They can't publish a story that they made up or don't have correct facts because they aren't being truthful in their writing.
