The Jaunt of a Journalist

Journalists are employed all over the world to report facts and findings of incidents deemed 'newsworthy'.

It is a journalist's job to investigate and analyze stories that are timely and advantageous. Journalists need to report information based on proximity, conflict, practicability, and human interest. There are also many other devices journalists use to divulge information in an efficient way.

Journalists are often credited for their originality and creativity, but with today's rapidly growing use of the internet and it's counterparts, novelty is quickly losing it's name.

Although there are many different types of journalism (i.e., community journalism, civic journalism, collaborative journalism), citizen journalism is quickly taking over the world. While hearing interpretations of stories from our peers is sometimes beneficial, the stories may not always be recounted accurately or with proper citations.

The world needs journalists to report accurate and compelling facts and opinions. Even if the a journalist is merely sharing his or her opinion, that opinion needs to be backed up to the writer's full extent.
